Nestled alongside the historic grandeur of Bodiam Castle, Castleview Cafe offers a delightful escape for visitors looking to recharge amidst stunning views and a relaxed, inviting atmosphere. This charming cafe is perfectly situated along the Park Farm to Bodiam Castle Footpath, making it an ideal stop for tourists and locals alike who bask in both delicious food and picturesque scenery.

One of the standout features of Castleview Cafe is its outdoor seating area, which allows guests to indulge in their meals while soaking in the unobstructed vistas of the castle and lush lawns. Imagine sipping a freshly brewed coffee as ducks waddle playfully nearby, eagerly awaiting a crumb or two; it’s a perfect moment of tranquility and joy.

While the menu might be limited — with offerings such as paninis, scones, and snacks like crisps and chocolate bars — the quality is commendable. Diners have raved about dishes like the salmon and pheasant, highlighting the flavorful combinations that make even a simple meal feel like a treat. Real customer experiences paint a vivid picture: from 'John W,' who appreciated the helpfulness of the staff despite some inventory challenges, to 'SAh,' who thoroughly enjoyed the well-prepared dishes that exceeded their expectations.

Castleview Cafe’s charm, however, lies not just in its food but in its surroundings. With indoor seating that can be limited on rainy days, it’s the outdoor terrace that beckons you to stay awhile. There's a unique sense of community here, where laughter from families can be heard, and the curious ducks add a delightful touch of whimsy. 'Louise O'Doherty' echoed this sentiment, noting the friendly atmosphere that accompanies your meal.

Not to be overlooked, the cafe’s proximity to Bodiam Castle enhances its appeal, inviting guests to enjoy a full day of exploration and leisure. Whether you're taking a stroll through the castle grounds or simply relaxing with a snack after your visit, Castleview Cafe is a refreshing pause in your journey.

In summary, while Castleview Cafe may not boast an extensive menu, it compensates with a memorable setting, attentive service, and an atmosphere that radiates warmth and joy. So, whether you’re gearing up for an adventure or winding down after a day of exploration, let Castleview Cafe be your companion for delightful moments spent in the heart of history.

It was a little disappointing on selection as it seems the main cafe doesn't send enough up or keep it stocked enough. However the staff were amazing! They explained and tried the best they could. There are lots of wasps, but that's the time of year, and the ducks are so funny..... they love a treat but don't tell the staff, hahaha.

Nicely situated overlooking the castle with unobstructed views and plenty of tables to use. Location and scenery is very good but food and menu in the cafe is limited. Coffee ok, Panini or Scones and that is just about it apart from a bag of crisp or chocolate bar. Cost is on par with other castle venues. There is another cafe at the entrance and a pub next to the car park with better alternative food stuffs but the scenery isn't as good.

Small with limited indoor seating, especially on a rainy day, but decent selection of food/snacks. Usual prices for National trust. Great views over the lawns and Castle and plenty of friendly ducks to feed your crumbs to.

Great view of the castle. There is indoor and outdoor seating but with limited menu compared with the main café which is at the entry. Also this one close at 3pm
